Maison Ndolo

A Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp campaign for a made-to-measure tailor in Akwa: three Reels to compare, their feed versions, and the conversation that turns a click into an appointment.

Version A: the transformation, from fabric to outfit. Version B: “Mariage samedi?” (Wedding on Saturday?) Version C: a photo of a design sent in a chat.

The idea

A campaign that tests instead of guessing. Three identical Reels, except for their first three seconds: wax print fabric turning into an outfit, the rush before a wedding, the ease of sending a photo. Each one gives a different reason to buy. The week’s figures show which one sells, and the next campaign builds on that.

What we did

  • The test: three different openings, the same rest of the film, the same budget, and a decision rule written in advance.
  • Three 15-second Reels, with a sweep of wax print fabric as the transition between workshop scenes.
  • A feed version, and a four-image carousel.
  • The brand identity, the fabric, and pictures of the workshop, the outfit and the wedding.
  • The WhatsApp conversation: ready-made replies, from the first message to the appointment.

The test

Three openings, one film.

The rest of the film and the ending are identical. Only the first three seconds change, and each one gives a different reason to buy. All three run at the same time, on the same budget: after a week, the one that gets the most customers messaging keeps the money.

A The transformation

Six yards of wax print become a one-of-a-kind outfit: we show the result first.

B The occasion

“Mariage samedi?” (Wedding on Saturday?) The urgency of an event, and the answer: we’ll dress you.

C The conversation

A photo of the design, sent on WhatsApp: ordering made simple.

The other formats

For the feed: a squarer version and a carousel.

In the Facebook and Instagram feed, a vertical video gets cropped at the top and bottom. So we remade the film in a squarer format, and created a carousel: four images that tell the story of the service, from design to outfit.

  1. Card 1 of 4: “Send us the design. One photo is enough, on WhatsApp.”
  2. Card 2 of 4: “Your measurements. At the Akwa workshop or at your place.”
  3. Card 3 of 4: “The fitting. Alterations included, before the finishing touches.”
  4. Card 4 of 4: “Your outfit. Message us: Maison Ndolo.”

After the click

The sale continues on WhatsApp.

A click on the ad opens a chat with the workshop. Answers to common questions are written in advance, together with the brand: the customer moves quickly, and the workshop loses no one along the way. Try it: tap the suggested replies.

Maison NdoloBusiness account
  1. You’re replying to an ad from Maison Ndolo.
  2. Hello, and thank you for messaging us. What would you like to do?
  3. Send a design
  4. With pleasure. Send us a photo of the design: we’ll tell you how much fabric you need, and how long it will take.
  5. This one, for a wedding on Saturday?
  6. Lovely choice. We can do it. We’ll need your measurements: will you come to the Akwa workshop, or shall we come to your place?
  7. I'll come to the workshop
  8. Perfect. We have two free slots tomorrow: 10 am or 4 pm?
  9. 4 pm
  10. Noted: tomorrow, 4 pm, at the workshop. You’ll get the address and a reminder that morning.

The following week

What we measure, and how we decide.

  1. How many messages each version brought in, and what each one cost.
  2. How many appointments those messages led to, according to the workshop’s appointment book.
  3. How many outfits were sold, according to the brand’s own sales: this is the number that decides.
  4. The decision, in writing: the version that sells keeps the budget, and the weakest is replaced with a new idea.

Campaign shown for demonstration: it was not run, so there are no results to show.

Do you sell on WhatsApp?

We build the campaign that brings in the messages, and the conversation that turns them into sales.
